02/24 – Brantly’s “Cloudy” Lundi Gras Afternoon Forecast


Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage in the afternoon and evening. Otherwise, expect cloudy skies with a high temperatures topping out in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Winds will generally be out of the south at 5 to 15 miles per hour, which will aid in bringing in more moisture off the Gulf of Mexico.

The chance of rain during the day is about 60%, increasing to around 70% overnight.

A lingering shower or two will be possible in the early morning hours on Mardi Gras with clouds sticking around through most of the evening.

All of the rain and moisture moving into the area is ahead of an approaching cold front, which will bring much cooler temperatures and drier air for the remainder of the week.

Beginning Ash Wednesday and lasting through at least this coming weekend, sunny to mostly sunny skies are expected.
