It’s time to set sail. The Nina and Pinta, replicas of Columbus’ ‘Ships of Discovery,’ have made their way to Biloxi.
Both the Nina and the Pinta tour together as a ‘sailing museum’ for educating the public and school children. It is a great way to step back in time to the days where Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue. First Mate on the Nina David Zenk said, “We travel all around the eastern United States, educating people on Columbus’ four voyages. The age of exploration, the caravels that were used to open the world to exploration and what it was like for the crews on these ships, in terms of living on them for years at a time and everything they experienced.”
The Nina and Pinta will be docked at the Schooner Pier until March 2nd. The vessels are available for self-guided tours daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
