Veterans from three different coastal states got together this weekend for two days of competitive fun.
The Bayou Gulf States Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America held its second annual Bocci Ball Tournament at the hurricane shelter off County Farm Road on Friday and Saturday.
Veterans of all skill sets competed for first, second, and third place trophies and had the chance to connect with other veterans in the spirit of friendship. PVA Bocci Tournament Coordinator Julius Lee said, “It’s a mind-blowing experience because guess what? It helps you to concentrate. It gets you to focus on being a winner.”
Tournament organizers say the bocci tournament will remain an annual event.
