This week the who’s who of outgoing college football talent descends upon Mobile, Alabama for the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Two Mississippi State players will be in attendance, but neither of them have played for first-year Head Coach Mike Leach.
That distinct honor goes to former Washington State Quarterback Anthony Gordon, the only Cougars player in this year’s game.
It hasn’t even been two weeks since Coach Leach touched down in Starkville to take his first crack at the SEC after spending eight years in Pullman.
Overall, his offenses have led the FBS in passing 10 times during his 18 years as a head coach.
The former Wazzu quarterback says Bulldog fans should expect more of the same. “Potent aerial attack. Coach is going to air it out. He’s going to get the guys around, he’s going to recruit the guys around that philosophy and he’s going to build up a team that’s ready to throw the ball and make explosive plays on the field.”
Saturday’s game kicks off at 1:30 p.m. from Ladd Peebles Stadium and News 25 will be on hand in Mobile.
