If you live too far away from the Oyster Ball Drop at the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, Bay St. Louis has you covered for your New Year’s Eve festivities.
Join the folks over at North Beach Restaurant for a bonfire, fireworks, and the oyster ball dropping from the top of the building. This family friendly event will have live entertainment and plenty of fun for everyone.
The Oyster Ball Drop in Bay St. Louis is something for residents in Hancock County to enjoy since there aren’t many celebrations on that side of the Coast. North Beach Restaurant Owner Jim Macphaille said, “It’s going to be a great event for the city. It’s going to have an economic impact. We partnered up with the government here in Bay St. Louis and the mayor. They are doing fireworks down here. They will also be doing a bonfire for the kids. I think it is a great partnership. It’s going to help every restaurant on the street and all the businesses bringing people here.”
All of the festivities kick off at 8 p.m. tonight.
