Hundreds of people showed up to the Biloxi National Cemetery today to prepare wreaths to lay them on graves of soldiers tomorrow.
For the past six years, Crusaders for Veterans and other volunteers have prepared and placed wreaths on the graves at the Biloxi National Cemetery during the holiday season.
This year, volunteers prepared over 21,000 wreaths, the most they have ever had. Crusaders for Veterans President/Founder Kevin Cuttill said, “So, we come out to honor their memories because we don’t want anyone forgotten. I’m a Gold Star father. I’ve got a son that’s buried, you know, Julia, her dad is buried out here. So, we have got loved ones out here. It is an emotional tie in with everyone.”
The wreath laying ceremony is Saturday at 11 a.m. Anyone is welcome to attend.
