James Griffin said, “When you hear this type of information, know that law enforcement and the school district are doing their best to make sure the students are safe. We’ve made a pickup point or a community point for the parents who arrive here at the school.”

Just after 2 p.m., Gulfport police gave the all clear and students returned to class.
