The Mississippi Gulf Coast in mourning after the loss of long time talk show radio host Kipp Greggory.

Kipp Greggory was a familiar face and voice here in South Mississippi for many years as talk show host and General Manager for Super Talk 103.1. He was also very active in the community.

Less than a week ago, he was among the men helping to raise money for the American Cancer Society at the launch party for the “Real Men Wear Pink” reveal at the Beau Rivage casino in Biloxi last Thursday. He also started a fundraiser on Facebook to help raise money to help in the fight against cancer and had plans to attend the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk scheduled for October 19, stating on his Facebook page his reasons why, and appealing to others to pitch in, for the sake of those like him with a wife, daughter, relative or any other loved one prone to breast cancer.

While there is no official word yet on what caused his death, Greggory was treated earlier this year for a newly-discovered heart defect, which prompted him to encourage those around the age of 50 to get an ultrasound of their heart.
