It will be time to clean off your rides before you know it for Cruisin’ the Coast!
With the fun that comes with the event, the number of tourists and residents who hit the streets of South Mississippi during that time can result in heavy traffic.
The City of Biloxi is gearing up plans to make sure traffic flows smooth like your engines.
Just like years prior, the plan limits Highway 90 to one-lane westbound and one-lane eastbound while Biloxi police officers are stationed at different intersections to control traffic flow. Cecilia Dobbs-Walton with the City of Biloxi said, “The reason for the cones is to get traffic moving to see if it is moving slowly and to get residents and visitors around. Also, the main reason is for emergency personnel. They want to make sure the emergency services can flow through the city smoothly so they can get where they need to go.”
The City of Biloxi will only implement the traffic plan if necessary.
