It’s a great time to get together with friends and family this week as we celebrate our nation’s independence, but too often the fun turns into tragedy on our roadways.
July 4th is one of the deadliest holidays of the year on the roads. That’s why the Bay St. Louis Police Department has announced their safety plan.
Beginning this Thursday, July 4th they’ll be out conducting safety checkpoints throughout the city and have more traffic enforcement officers on the roads to look out for speeding and careless driving.
The police department encourages everyone to plan ahead, fasten their seat belts, and drive sober so they don’t get pulled over.
