Thunder over the Sound traffic plan

If you’re headed to the Thunder over the Sound airshow this weekend, the City of Biloxi has areas for parking.

With people coming from all over to attend the show, the satellite parking areas are here to help with traffic congestion.

The Biloxi Police Department is implementing its event traffic plan where the two inner most lanes will be blocked off for emergency and bus traffic. The outside lanes will be regular traffic.

From the designated parking lots, bus services will be available to take guests to and from the beach.

Cecilia Dobbs Walton with the City of Biloxi says it is important to have these things in place so everyone can have a good time. “The City of Biloxi wants everyone to come to the Coast to enjoy this Thunder over the Sound event, but we want to make sure everyone gets where they are going safely and efficiently. The traffic plan is in place to help everyone. When they call 911 they will be able to get emergency assistance to make sure traffic is flowing as smooth as possible.”
