The Biloxi Fire Department will exchange the fire hose for the deep fryer for their annual Fish Fry at the Fire Museum on Friday.
This is one of the major fundraisers that benefit the museum. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for just $8 a plate you can have the choice of fried fish or shrimp. The fire museum is a nonprofit corporation that relies on the support of the community.
This money also comes in handy later down the road to help others in case of emergencies. Chief Joe Boney said, “Raising this money allows us to go around the country in times of disaster after hurricanes and stuff to be able to assist other people in their times of need. All this money goes back into the community.”
More good news coming from Chief Boney as he tells News 25 Fire Station 10 in Woolmarket should be up and running in August or September.
