When Sean Payton called an onside kick to start the second half of Super Bowl 44, we all knew he was an aggressive coach.
But that same aggression applies to the war room with the New Orleans Saints trading up for the 16th time in 13 years on day two of the NFL Draft.
The Black and Gold are filling their need at center with Erik McCoy out of Texas A&M with the 16th pick in the second round, 48th overall.
When the plug and play starter continued to fall, the Saints moved out of the 60th overall spot by swapping second round picks with the Miami Dolphins in addition to giving up a sixth this year and another second next year while receiving a fourth next year as well.
McCoy will be the heir apparent to Max Unger who retired during the offseason with one year left on his contract.
