Harrison Central: Senior Night, six players honored, Kyle Howell cleared to resume baseball

Senior Night is always a special time for the graduating players that have laid it all on the line for their respective programs, but tonight’s ceremony at Harrison Central was extra special for Kyle Howell.

Just three days after being taken to the hospital during Friday’s game against Biloxi, he was back on the field starting against St. Patrick as one of six Red Rebels being honored prior to first pitch.

The senior catcher has already been cleared for all baseball activities after taking a ball to the neck area that caused him to become unresponsive.

A scary and emotional time for Harrison Central, now a different kind of emotion as the Red Rebels celebrate the class of 2019, the others being Chance Deleo, P.J. Harrison, Chaseton Lawton, Mark Santos, and Kenneth Taylor Jr.

St. Patrick wins 8-3.
