Representative Robert Foster is on the Coast today continuing his campaign to be Mississippi’s next governor.
A Desoto County native, Foster’s platform falls heavily on renewing education in our state as well as empowering small business in Mississippi.
The first-term representative stopped by our studio today. He tells News 25 why his background is important in understanding his platform. “So my background gives me a different perspective than my opponents, since I’ve lived underneath all the rules and taxation that government has, I understand the struggle that families go through and I work with all different types of backgrounds in my business. I’ve been in the legislature long enough to see what our problems are, but not long enough to lose passion to fix what those problems are, I don’t owe anybody anything, I just owe the people of Mississippi to do what I think is best for them.”
Foster spoke at McElroy’s on the Bayou tonight in Jackson County, an event hosted by the Jackson County Republicans.
