Climb CDC is looking for motivated people ages 17 to 26 to earn an education grant.
Climb CDC is a Mississippi nonprofit community development agency that provides work-force training, housing, and financial counseling, housing development, and disaster recovery services in the south region.
Right now, they are giving out an education grant for more than a thousand dollars in exchange for 300 service hours over three months.
AmeriCorps Gulf Coast Program Coordinator Rob Walthall tells News 25 during the three months of service you will also earn $300 a month. “We work in a community garden off 34th Street here in Gulfport. We also work several properties on the Land Trust of Mississippi Coastal Plains where they remove invasive species of plants, put in natural plants in the area to help the environment.”
