2018 Jolly McCarty Gala

It’s a Jolly Time at the IP Casino tonight as the Bacot McCarty Foundation hosts its 14^th annual Jolly Gala.

The Bacot McCarty Foundation focuses on enhancing lives through youth, education, and the arts. This year’s gala theme is Beatlemania and the sold out event welcomed over a thousand people.

The proceeds from the event and the silent auction will benefit 13 nonprofit organizations from around the Coast. The IP Casino and Resort has donated over two million dollars to the foundation in the past ten years.

Miss Mississippi 2017, Anne Elizabeth Buys, was in attendance at tonight’s event and she tells News 25 making a difference is what tonight’s event is all about. “This is the biggest fundraiser of the year so the more money that can be raised for these children, the better, so that is what I am really looking forward to. To know that we have the power to make a difference in other people’s lives, here locally, it’s so incredible and I’m just so honored to be here.”

The gala is one out of two events held annually as part of the two-day Jolly McCarty Memorial. Saturday the fun continues at the Jolly Golf Tournament in Jackson County.
