2017 Mississippi Legislative Preview

The three month 2017 legislative sessions begin January 3rd. This will be the second year of a four year term.
Education funding is already front and center of preparation work with Republican leaders of the House and Senate hiring a consulting firm to recommend changes to the Mississippi Adequate Education Program, designed to give schools enough money to meet mid-level academic standards.
The New Jersey based consulting firm Ed Build is supposed to submit a proposal before the 2017 sessions begin.
