2017 alligator season lotto passed

Thirty days are up and Mississippi’s alligator hunting season changes will go into effect this August.
Mississippi Department of Wildlife introduced changes on how hunters will get a permit from the previous first come, first serve to a lottery style drawing. Applications will be offered June 1st through the 7th.
From August 25th through September 4th, public waters season begins and private lands season will open August 25th through September 18th.
