2016 Billfish Classic: Sponsor Appreciation Block Party

While dozens of fishermen were out casting their reels, sponsors for the 2016 Gulf Coast Billfish Classic hit the streets of Ocean Springs for the annual block party and pub crawl.
Over 30 sponsors donated toward this year’s 2016 Billfish Classic. Sponsors were able to kick back and relax this evening during an appreciation party at the Off the Hook Fish House in Ocean Springs.
Live music, great food and free drinks served as a “thank you” for the many men and women who help make the tournament so successful. Off the Hook Fish House owner Tim Wold said, “When the patrons leave here, the sponsors go out. They’ll go around to the individual town after the parade through Government Street and they’ll frequent all the different establishments down here. They’ll go in with tokens and they’ll go in and get beverages to drink and then the Billfish community comes back and buys those tokens back.”
With dozens of sponsors dipping in and out of bars and businesses, the block party and pub crawl serve as a way for the Billfish community to give back to the Ocean Springs community.
