Over 200 meals distributed at ‘Feeding the Hungry’ giveaway in Moss Point

On Saturday, a ‘Feeding the Hungry’ Food Giveaway was held in Moss Point. Over 200 free meals were distributed at this giveaway.

The food distribution was set up outside a convenience store in Moss Point. As people got out of their cars to enter the store, they were surprised by the generosity of those distributing free food.

‘Feeding the Hungry’ Organizer Shira Stallworth tells News 25 she just wants to bring life back into Moss Point. “We need to rebuild our city. We need people to come together as a team and make the dream work. I can’t do it by myself. It’s not about me. It’s about the people of Moss Point and I just need their support and I want them to support others in the community so we can grow our city and bring back a shine to Moss Point, our River City.”

Stallworth looks to keep helping out those in the Moss Point community. Her next event is an educational forum on Saturday, March 13th.
