20 new citizens take Oath of Citizenship in Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The newest citizens of the United States of America took the Oath of Citizenship Thursday morning in Gulfport.
A naturalization ceremony took place at the Federal Courthouse in Gulfport. A total of 20 new citizens from 15 countries took part in the ceremony.
The new citizens and officials we spoke to after the ceremony say the culmination of a long citizenship process is an exciting time for everyone involved.
Some of the countries these new citizens hail from include Haiti, Syria, France, New Zealand, and more.
