2/17 – Mild tonight with warmer than normal afternoons

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast

We have a mild and mostly cloudy night ahead with lows around 59 and light southeast winds.

Wednesday stays warm and partly sunny, with highs in the low 70s. Rain chances begin to creep in late Wednesday night and increase Thursday, when scattered afternoon showers become possible. Highs remain in the mid-70s.

By Friday and Saturday, showers become likely, with a few thunderstorms possible both afternoons. Temperatures climb into the upper 70s before a cold front moves through Saturday night.

That front brings a sharp cool-down to the area. Sunday turns sunny but much cooler, with highs in the low 60s and breezy north winds. Early next week is expected to stay dry and cool, with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the 30s and 40s.
