2/12 – Sam Parker’s “Severe Set Up” Wednesday Midday Forecast

Possible chance for severe weather later today with some portions in the enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms. Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday for a good portion of the area. Northern portions of the area fall in to the enhanced risk chance and southern portions in the slight risk chance. All in all we have to have the possibility to see severe weather anywhere.  The main timing for this will be in the afternoon through late evening hours. more scattered strong storms in the afternoon. Late tonight is where we will see more organized line of thunderstorms. Potential threats include damaging winds of 60mph or greater, a few brief tornadoes, large hail, and localized areas of heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding. Today making sure we are weather aware and have a way to receive weather notifications.
