19-year-old arrested, charged with armed robbery in Gulfport
A 19-year-old has been arrested in Gulfport and charged with one count of armed robbery.
On March 9th, officers with the Gulfport Police Department responded to an area in the 9400 block of Highway 49 in reference to an armed robbery.
During the investigation, it was determined that 19-year-old Zyiquarius Brown of Moss Point was brandishing a firearm and forcibly the victim’s purse before fleeing the scene.
With the assistance of Jackson County CID, Brown was located and taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Gulfport Police Department where he admitted to the armed robbery.
Brown was processed and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center where he is being held on $250,000 bond.
