18-year-old arrested for string of burglaries in George County

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A Lucedale man is behind bars this evening after being connected to a string of car burglaries in the county.

Investigators say the burglaries happened in the Magnolia Farms area and several nearby rural communities.

Eighteen-year-old Joseph Dickerson is now charged with five counts of commercial burglary. More charges could be added as the investigation continues.

During the investigation, and with help from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, investigators located Dickerson in Jackson County, where he had gone to report being the victim of a separate incident.

Authorities then took Dickerson into custody without incident.

Lucedale Police and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics are also assisting in this investigation.
