18-wheeler fire stalls traffic on I-10 near Diamondhead

Traffic on Interstate 10 near Exit 16 at Diamondhead is backed up while firefighters work on a fire that started in the tires of an 18-wheeler.
Westbound motorists are down to one lane while the firefighters battle the blaze. Firefighters got the call about 4 a.m.
The truck, carrying Happy Meal boxes, had its tires catch fire while traveling on the interstate. The Diamondhead Fire Chief Mike Munger said they had to cut a hole in the container on the truck to make sure all flames were extinguished because of the paper products inside.
WXXV’s Lorraine Weiskopf is on the scene and is providing live updates on WXXV 25.
