18-wheeler accidents cause traffic backup in Jackson County

Two accidents involving 18 wheelers caused a backup in traffic on I-10 in Jackson County.
The traffic nightmare started after an 18-wheeler rear ended a passenger vehicle around 10:30 in the eastbound lanes. The impact caused the 18-wheeler to cross the median into the westbound lanes, blocking vehicles in the right lane. No injuries were reported.
Shortly after, a second accident happened near mile marker 52 after a passenger vehicle rear ended an 18-wheeler. One person was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
