17-year-old killed in crash on Interstate 10 in Harrison County

At around 4:20 a.m. Saturday morning, the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 10 in Harrison County.

A 2024 freightliner Cascadia was traveling west on Interstate 10 when it collided with a 17-year-old pedestrian who was standing in the left lane with a disabled 2009 Jeep Compass.

The 17-year-old was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
