16th annual Oxford Film Fest

The 16^th annual Oxford Film Festival is well underway.

It’s happening at the Greenhouse on Porter in Ocean Springs. The weekend long event features a different live musical performance every day at 5 p.m. then the film starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tonight’s festival started with an award winning student film called “The Moon and the Night.”

Executive Director Meline Addington says there’s much more on tap for the weekend. “More live music tomorrow night and more films including some great music documentaries. Then Sunday night we’re going to be showing a lot of local Mississippi films along with some live music. We’re going to have about 15 films out of the 247 we play during the actual festival.”

The actual film festival happens in Oxford in February.
