1699 Landing Of D’iberville Reenactment
The year is 1699 and D’Iberville has landed on the gulf coast… As portrayed by several actors bringing history to life over the weekend.
The event took place on front beach at Fort Maurepas Park.
The historical society of ocean springs put together their annual reenactment… Engaging the public and participants with education of the story of D’Iberville.
He and his French travelers were met by Native Americans and then made peace with one another.
D’Iberville, played by Doctor Robert Hirsch, says its great way to learn about our state’s history.

Following the reenactment, the 1699 historical society of Ocean Springs celebrated our history with live music.
