16-year-old in custody following Long Beach shooting
A 16-year-old in Long Beach is being charged as an adult with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
Long Beach Police Chief Billy Seal tells News 25 officers responded to Quarles Street after reports of a possible robbery and shooting incident just after 4:30 P.M. on Tuesday. Upon investigation, the teen was taken into custody and taken to the Harrison County Jail.
He is being held on a $450,000 bond. The victim was taken to a local hospital shortly after the shooting in a private vehicle with non-life threatening injuries.
