16-year-old victim in early morning shooting in Gulfport identified

On June 10, 2024, at approximately 1:28 a.m., the Gulfport Police Department responded to the 100 block of Darby Street in reference to a shooting.

As officers arrived on scene, they located a 16-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The juvenile was transported to a local area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer, the victim has been identified as 16-year-old Christopher Brown.
