16-year-old Charged In Shooting
Over the weekend
George County Sheriff Deputies responded to the 200 block off of Old Highway 26 in reference to a drive by shooting of a residence on February 24, 2024.
When Deputies arrived, they discovered that a mobile home had been struck while an adult female and two children were occupying the home at the time. Deputies then received another call in the Highway 26 and Grill Rd area shortly after.
The caller had reported a suspicious male had arrived at the caller’s home requesting a phone and asking for help. While on the call, the suspicious male took the caller’s phone and left.
Deputies received a possible location for the suspicious male following an investigation. George County Sheriff Deputies then attempted a traffic stop occupied by the suspicious male and a driver. The driver was later identified as a victim of car-jacking after the victim was able to escape the vehicle.
The suspicious male then lead Deputies on a high-speed chase resulting in a roll-over accident with no injuries reported.
The suspect has been identified as 16-year-old, Noah Davis, of Lucedale, MS.
After the first George County Justice Court appearance, Davis received a $100,000 Commercial Bond for Shooting into a Dwelling, a $25,000 Commercial bond for motor vehicle theft, a $100,000 Commercial Bond for Armed Car Jacking, a $25,000 Bond for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and a $2,000 Commercial Bond for Fleeing Law Enforcement.
