14-year-old juvenile arrested on one count of simple assault of vulnerable juvenile

On Friday, September 8, 2023 Sheriff Troy Peterson announced the arrest of a 14 year old juvenile at Harrison Central High School on one count of simple assault of a vulnerable juvenile.

According to Sheriff Troy Peterson, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputies responded to an altercation on a bus at Harrison Central High School.

Upon arrival School Resource Deputies made contact with a 16 year old vulnerable juvenile that had lacerations on his arm.

After reviewing video surveillance from the school bus, School Resource Deputies arrested a 14 year old juvenile for stabbing the 16 year old vulnerable juvenile with a pencil.

14 year old juvenile was transported to the Harrison County Juvenile Detention Center.

14 year old juvenile was booked into the Harrison County Juvenile Detention Facility and charged with Simple Assault on a vulnerable juvenile, 14 year old juvenile is being held in lieu of no bond pending detention hearing.
