12/4 – More Rain Expected For Friday and Saturday

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast

A soggy stretch of weather continues tonight as showers and a few thunderstorms move through the area, most of which wrap up by 10 p.m., but scattered showers remain possible overnight. Lows fall to the upper 40s as winds shift from the east to the north.

Friday brings more clouds and another round of spotty showers or a rumble of thunder, though coverage will be more limited with only a 40% chance of rain. Highs stay cool, topping out near the upper 50s.

Rain ramps back up Friday night and continues through Saturday, with widespread showers likely both days. Temperatures hover in the upper 40s to upper 50s, and rainfall totals between tonight and Saturday could reach a half inch or more in some locations.

Showers begin to taper Saturday night, and while a few light showers may linger into Sunday morning, the second half of the day trends drier with highs warming into the upper 60s.

Next week brings a much-needed break. Sunshine returns Monday with highs near 60, followed by clear, colder nights dipping into the mid-30s to low 40s. Temperatures rebound into the mid-60s by midweek.
