12/22 – Temperatures Sitting Above Normal Through Christmas

Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your forecast

A quiet and mild stretch of weather settles in through the holiday week, with fog being the main concern, especially overnight and during the early mornings.

By Tuesday morning, patchy fog develops before giving way to sunshine and a pleasant afternoon with temperatures near 70. Fog becomes more widespread Tuesday night into early Wednesday, then continues to show up in spots most mornings through Christmas Day. Aside from the fog, expect partly sunny skies and highs hovering in the low to mid 70s each day, with light winds keeping things calm.

Heading toward the end of the week and into the weekend, conditions stay warm and mostly dry with highs in the low 70s and mild nights in the upper 50s.

A brief rain chance returns Sunday, followed by a noticeable cooldown Sunday night as northerly winds pick up behind a stronger cold front. Early next week looks cooler but still dry, with sunshine returning and highs dipping closer to 60 by Monday.
