12/15 – Brittany’s “Winter Feel” Thursday Night Forecast

It’ll be downright cold tonight with temperatures bottoming out in the low 40’s. Throughout the rest of our night, cold and clear conditions courtesy of high pressure to our NW.

For the next 36 hours the weather will remain cool and quiet with mostly clear skies but Saturday things will start to change. The L/W trough will begin to flatten out at the bottom as the next s/w upstream works southeast through the 4 corner and into the TX/Ok panhandles Saturday morning. As this s/w moves into the Lower MS Valley it will squeeze what ever moisture is available producing light showers and leading to cloudy skies. That will keep the region cool as well. This s/w will also help to reinforce the cooler air Which will keep highs in the 50s again.

Next week will be cool but we are still waiting on the really cold air. Models are all in agreement that the cold air is coming but it may not get here till just before Christmas and it could be down right COLD!
