11th Anniversary Of Katrina
Today marks 11 years since Hurricane Katrina ripped through the Coast, devastating the lives of many Mississippians. The category five storm that clocked wind speeds over 120 miles per hour made landfall in Waveland. Hurricane Katrina took the lives of 238 Mississippians, but its destruction of homes and businesses across the coast impacted thousands. Today, Mississippi Emergency Management Executive Director Lee Smithson will be on the coast.
