11/18 Ryan’s “Spring-Like” Friday Afternoon Forecast
We stayed just South of 80 degrees this afternoon, but it still seemed like a spring-like day in South MS. That ends here though, as a cold front is moving through overnight (around 2 AM) that will cool things down considerably. Expect a high near 65 tomorrow, with mostly cloudy skies gradually clearing to sunny through the afternoon. Winds will also remain brisk throughout the day, averaging between 15-20 mph from the North with gusts in excess of 30 mph. These winds will continue to bring in cooler, drier air into the area so expect to see even colder temperatures through the weekend and into Monday. Monday morning in particular will be quite cold, with lows reaching 38 along the waterfront, meaning inland areas will see near or below freezing temperatures. Frost is likely to be an inland issue Saturday and Sunday night, so be sure to protect your plants, pets, and people. Updates later tonight as things continue to develop.
