11 nursing students learn skills at Memorial Health’s 2025 Summer Nurse Extern Program

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Memorial Health System announced the completion of the 2025 Summer Nurse Extern Program.

Eleven nursing students wrapped up the program with hands-on experience, clinical skills, and confidence for the work ahead.

The program is collaborative with state organizations and gives any college student in their last year of school experience.

Participants work alongside a nurse in their assigned role to gain real-world insight as they prepare for graduation.
