11/05 – Brantly’s “Mostly Sunny and Mild” Thursday Forecast
Wednesday through Friday, high pressure will be building over the region. Conditions will be dry and cool. Easterly to northeasterly surface winds will help to push some moisture into the area, so expect humidity levels to rise gradually in the next day or two.
Saturday, a small area of low pressure is expected to move through our area, which could enhance the rainfall chances. Tropical moisture will push into the area due to the easterly winds, which will act to enhance the potential for rain, mainly along the coastal areas. Some lightning may be possible as well if the trough is a bit stronger than expected.
Low temperatures Friday night into early Saturday morning are forecast to be a bit warmer than we’ve seen recently due an increase in moisture. Lows are thus expected to be in the upper 50s to lower 60s north of I-10 and in the mid to upper 60s south of I-10.
High temperatures Saturday afternoon will be in the 70s, with lows Saturday night into early Sunday morning in the lower to mid 60s north of I-10 and in the mid to upper 60s south. Monday through Wednesday, a ridge of high pressure builds back over the area, which will lower the rain chances. Northerly surface winds will help to enhance the cold and dry air moving into the area by the middle of next week.
