11/01 – Brantly’s “Cool Weekend Ahead” Friday Afternoon Forecast
Temperatures are cool this afternoon as highs top out in the upper 50s. Areas along the coast of South Mississippi coast will likely drop into the lower 40s again by Saturday morning, with inland locations dropping to the upper 30s.
A secondary low pressure system will swing across the country tonight. This will send a reinforcing cold front through the viewing area. This will keep air cool and humidity low through the weekend.
Over the weekend, skies will remain clear and high temperatures will be in the lower 60s. Next week, temperatures will gradually warm back up into the lower 70s to mid 70s by Tuesday. Some moisture will return to the area too, so cloud cover will increase. There is little to no rain chance for the next week.
On the water, conditions will be rough through the middle of the day, with waves at 2 to 4 feet on the Mississippi Sound, subsiding to around 1 to 2 feet by the late afternoon as winds decrease. That secondary cold front will increase wave heights over the water again on Saturday… but not as much as we are seeing right now.
Don’t forget — we fall back one hour Saturday night into Sunday morning as Daylight Saving Time comes to an end.
