10th annual Katrina Memorial Blood Drive

Today the American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive at Edgewater Mall in memory of those lost during Hurricane Katrina.
This blood drive comes at a critical time during the difficult summer months, a time when many regular donors postpone giving blood because of summer activities.
Right now, the demand is greater than the supply of blood at area hospitals.
You can stop by the Edgewater Mall to donate blood today until 3 p.m. Red Cross workers say just one hour of time and a pint of blood could save up to three lives.
