10/20 Ryan’s “Frontal” Thursday Forecast
If you’ve enjoyed the hot & humid weather of the last few days, tonight’s frontal passage will keep those conditions away for a while. Today’s afternoon high peaked at 86 just like yesterday’s, but a cold front will move through around midnight and tomorrow’s high will be about 10 degrees cooler. We’ll continue to gradually cool of as drier/cooler air continues to filter in with the coldest times coming Friday night (50 on coast, 40s inland), Saturday afternoon (73 on coast, warmer inland), and Saturday night (51 on coast, 40s inland). As we begin next week, we’ll remain in the mid to upper 70s for a couple of days before warming back into the low 80s by Wednesday. The only rain expected in the forecast are a few showers tonight as the front passes, then dry conditions throughout the rest of the weekend and next week.
The tropics have not produced a new tropical system, but a disturbance North of the Bahamas has a 50% of forming over the next 2-5 days. Regardless, this system is not expected to impact the Gulf Coast.
