10/15 – Rob’s Thursday Morning Forecast
Strong high pressure and continued northerly flow will keep clear skies and very low humidity in place across the forecast area through Friday. Temperatures will quickly warm today as strong solar insolation heats up the very dry airmass. High temps will climb into the upper 80s…with some areas seeing near record temperatures across southwest Mississippi and the Baton Rouge region. Humidity values will be extremely low for this region…with readings dipping into the middle to upper teens during peak heating. Friday night will see a reinforcing back door cold front move through the gulf south with no moisture to work with, with nothing more than a few passing clouds expected. In the wake of the cold front…a reinforcing shot of cold and dry air will feed into the region with even drier conditions.
