10/8 – Sam Parker’s “Cooler Night” Tuesday Night Forecast

A trough pushed farther southeast over the last 24 hours, drove weak cold front through the local area. Much drier air has and will continue to remain in the area as surface ridge building in from the north maintains drier air. Dewpoints about 15 degrees lower than previous days means much cooler morning lows as well as no more muggy conditions for now. Lows ranging around the lower 60’s Tuesday Night.

Milton a Category 5 Hurricane with 165 MPH winds. Forecasted to weaken Wednesday morning before making landfall in the west coast of Florida Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. even though it weakens the storm will become much larger which increases storm surge for coastal areas south of the storm and flood risks for central and northern Florida.
