10/3 – Brittany’s “Pleasant” Monday Evening Forecast

In summary, nice weather persists through the short term. Not much change in the short term forecast. Dry air mass will remain in place with high pressure centered to the north of the local area.

Temperatures should continue to cool off well at night with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies and low dewpoints allowing decent radiational cooling. Should be near normal across northern areas and slightly above normal across the south shore. Afternoon highs on Tuesday rise into the low to mid 80s. Zonal flow aloft will be the dominant pattern for the end of the week. Northerly surface winds will act to enhance dry and cool air advection into the area late this week into the weekend. Moisture as a result will be low in the environment overall going through the weekend. So, rainfall is not expected for the long term forecast, looking at the models and based on the environmental parameters. Friday, high temperatures could be a little warm ahead of a dry boundary that will move through on Saturday. Otherwise, temperatures will be in the mid 80s all week and weekend, and conditions will be quite dry and comfortable.
