10/29 – Expect Cooler than “Normal” Afternoons For Much of the Next Week
Meteorologist Sam Lucey has a look at your extended forecast
Temperatures will dip into the upper 40s to low 50s tonight, then rebound to the upper 60s Thursday under mostly sunny skies with a breezy northwest wind around 10-15 mph. Normally we are sitting around 73-75 in the afternoons, but this week is looking a little cooler than that.
Halloween is shaping up to be a cool, but perfect fall day, with sunny skies in the afternoon and highs near 70, then clear and cool after sunset, perfect for bringing the kiddos out trick-or-treating.
Heading into the weekend, sunshine holds strong through Saturday before a weak Gulf Low brings a small chance of showers into the day on Sunday. Any rain should be brief and concentrated more along the coast, with highs staying comfortable in the upper 60s to near 70.
Early next week, the pattern remains mild and mostly sunny, with highs climbing into the low to mid 70s by the middle of the week.
