10/2 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Captain Kirk” Wednesday Morning Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

An upper trough is moving east of the area while looking upstream, and the upper stacked high currently centered over Chihuahua, Mexico will get squeezed by the zonal upper trough found from southern California through northern Texas. As this weak trough begins to flatten, it will begin to draw gulf moisture northward. This will occur rather quickly later today and this is when we should see the northern portion of the tropical wave over the eastern gulf move to our shoreline as early as before sunrise Thu morning.
